Choosing a Path

There is no single correct doorway into nondual inquiry. The best path depends on what you need now—relief, clarity, healing, meaning, or stable integration.

Best if you are stable, curious, and drawn to direct investigation. Start with self-inquiry or open awareness.

Best if you have had unusual states and need discernment before more practice. Start with loss of self and when to seek help.

Best if you already have some insight but struggle in relationships, work, or ethics. Start with relationships and shadow.

  1. Am I seeking metaphysical certainty or practical clarity?
  2. Do I prefer stillness, embodiment, devotion, or dialogue?
  3. Am I currently stable, overwhelmed, dissociated, or confused?
  4. Do I have support if practice intensifies?
  • Do not choose a path that dismisses your psychological needs.
  • Pause intensive practice if functioning drops significantly.
  • A teacher or community can help—but verify their ethics and boundaries.
